Pink October

Everyones knows October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Almost everyone has someone they know who has been effected by this. I created this banner for those who fought, those who survived and more importantly for those who continue to have hope. I love this quote and knew I needed to create something with it.  I created a vinyl stencil on my Cricut and screen printed on heavy weight acid free kraft paper.  I tied it with the cutest pink and white striped ribbon. Working on this project reminded me how lucky I am and I should never take for granted how important everyday is.

3 months til Christmas

Can you believe it is 3 months until Christmas?  When you are a maker, you need to stay on top of the date because time will get away from you... quickly!  I created these ornaments with my Mom during one of our craft days together.  They are mini farmhouse sign ornaments.

I used popsicle sticks glued together.  When dry, I then painted them with chalk paint.  I made stencils on my Cricut. I sanded them a little so it did not look so brand new.  I drilled small holes in them and used wire as the hanger.  I bent the wire around a large can of tomatoes so it was smooth and rounded. Then added a few embellishments of ribbon, berries and jingle bells. I think they are cute ornaments but they would be great as a present topper or used on your Christmas table.

I will have multiple ones available at the Fall Open House on November 1, 2 & 3.

Happy Fall

I have created a few things this summer when I had some time off.  It is hard to have a pumpkin spice state of mind when it's 95 degrees with 99% humidity.  So I did not know how much I would like this when fall actually rolled around.  I love the vintage design I created in Adobe Illustrator.  It mixes perfectly with my farmhouse decor.  I cut the design on my Cricut and screen printed multiple signs on pieces of Birch wood boards.  It looks like I ripped it right off an old crate. I also like how the design does not scream Halloween or Thanksgiving.  I can keep this on my mantel for September, October and November. It's perfect for a kitchen too...maybe behind the stove or on an open shelf.  I will be selling these at the Open House in November. If you like this design, and are a do-it-yourselfer, check out MY ETSY STORE.  I have this design and more available for sale.

Fall Freebie

This time of year I love creating.  Okay, let’s be honest, I am always creating.  I am getting ready for a couple of shows in November.  My Cricut has been working overtime.  I have brushes in my sink and ink under my fingernails.  I get excited to design something on my computer, cut it on the Cricut and screen print it multiple times.  It is my vision coming full-circle. While I was creating this, I thought maybe that others would like to do the same.   So I am GIVING it away!

Here’s how to enter for a chance to win this (digital print and/or cut files):
1.     Follow me on Instagram.
2.     Like that post
3.     Tag two of your besties and/or your crafty friends there.

You cannot tag friends that already commented or have been tagged in that post.  Winner and the two friends they tagged will be announced Friday, September 27th .

Good luck!

In all things, give thanks

This is the time of year I enjoy cool crisp mornings, sunny warm afternoons and chilly evenings. As I sit with my back door open, I still hear sounds of summer. One week and counting until fall officially is here. I have been working on a few projects to decorate my home. That is my main motivation in crafting. Then my mom likes it and I make one for her, then my sister-in-law wants one, and I make one for her and so on and so on. So when I was asked to participate in a fall craft show this November, I said why not?
