Santa Supply Co.

This was my first project using vinyl to screen print.  I created this cute Christmas graphic in Adobe Illustrator and made it an SVG to cut on my Cricut.  I cut it on Oracal 651 vinyl (outdoor vinyl) and weeded it.  I purchased a screen and followed a tutorial on screen printing.  I thought, how hard can it be?  Well, it takes a little patience and some finesse, but it really went better than expected.  I used Speedball red acrylic ink on painted birch ply-wood.  I used a wax to seal it and give it a vintage look.  My husband cut a few pieces of pine for the frame.  I think these would look great on an open shelf.

Ever since this project, I was hooked on screen printing!  What more can I design, cut and print? There are not enough hours in the day!

53 days 'til Christmas!

A Few Projects

Christmas came and went so fast and before I knew it, it was February.  I have been working on projects but have been so busy that posting is sometimes a second thought. I love creating and sometimes I just forget to snap the pictures when my creative juices are following.  However, I photographed these two projects before they were delivered to their new homes.  Steve's Game Preserve was a custom project for a friend.  Her brother-in-law has a man cave where he displays his hunting trophies.  She thought he needed a personalized sign to hang in his space.  I created the sign in PhotoShop and printed it on high quality paper with pigment ink.  With help of my husband, we created this reclaimed wood frame.  I like how rustic the boards look with the art.

With You, I Am Home, was created for a house0warming gift.  I created a stencil with my Cricut and painted it with latex paints.  Again, thanks to my hubby, it was framed and ready to be delivered. I am glad people enjoy what I do because I enjoy what I do.

Mini Framed Prints

Just a few final touches on the items for the Holiday Open House.  I created these Mini Framed Prints. They are 4 1/2 " x 5 1/2".  They are just the right size for an ornament or a perfect present topper.  I personally love to layer my picture frames.  They work great to layer multiple sized frames on a book shelf.

I also finished up some details on my Reclaimed Wood Framed Prints.  This print is something that could be hung no matter the season.  I created it to make it easy to swap out the ribbon and wreath (if you want but it is not necessary).  It has that farmhouse style that I love.

My house is all decorated and I am very excited for Friday and Saturday.  I hope you can stop by to check out all my hard work.
